In IL to get into the academy after passing the written exams, you have to take a step test (step up & down to a rythym for 3 min.), do a few push ups, and run a short obstacle course in X amount of seconds. At the academy we got fed a bunch of bull about earning the right to use the gym. Even if we could've used it, we didn't have enough washers/dryers to clean our (1) sweat suit. About the most organized PT we did was push ups in the morning after inspection. What a joke!

oklahoma acadamy must a changed alot then i went through it almost 4 yrs ago and the worse part was self defense and thats only uz i hate failure so i scared myself lol

in florida walking constitutes as participating in the one and a half mile run. you dont have to finish it either.

PT was nothing here in Texas, when I went through the Academy in Tennessee we had an obstacle course, dummy drag and a 1 1/2 mile run/walk......not bad but I swear there were people there that did not do any of it and they passed............
