Yes, it does seem to be at a high but is it just because we are getting more savvy at catching them? We are finally recognizing it as the problem it is? PREA cameras starting to work?

And I have to ask you, why are we not each other chaperones? I expect my staff to watch me as well as I watch them. And I tell them, "If you see me talking to an offender and it LOOKS suspicious/odd then SAY SOMETHING TO ME." Say, "Hey Ms. X, you know you spend a lot of time with inmate Bubba." or "Ms. X, you seem to give him special treatment."

After all, that is part of the inmate game. Get Ms. X to give me special treatment and once I have compromised her in a minor way, then I can build up for some good stuff.

THAT IS IT! IT IS SO SIMPLE!!!! Yes, the games get very complicated, but the initial phase is really simple. WE JUST HAVE TO POLICE OURSELVES!!!!

I have on many many occasions told staff, "You know, I am hearing things that don't sound right. You know, I see you talking to inmate Billybob an awful lot. You know, when you said, blahblahblah about inmate Joeblow, it sounds like you are personally involved."

In every occasion the staff member said, "Oh I didn't realize it looked like that." In ONE instance, that staff member changed her behavior and is still with the department. Unfortunately, in all the others, they have moved on under suspicious circumstances.

So, even if I was not able to prevent the act, at least when I pointed it out, they moved on. Rather quickly.

So, while our jobs are to watch offenders and prevent their wrongdoing, we are doing a disservice if we do not police ourselves. After all, when one of us messes up, who gets blamed? Yes,

we all do.

If you really need some loving call me. I have a good paying government job. Sure I lead a boring life, dont have ongoing legal issues, nor share a room with 2 hairy guys, but I hope you can ignore these facts and get with me.




Im starting to think having females working in male prisons, and males working in female prisons is a bad idea. We almost need chaperones so we dont fall in some inmates bed.

All this sexual misconduct between COs and thugs is getting rediculous

I dont really think its fair to say that men shouldn't work in female prisons or women shouldn't work in men prisons. I think that we need to be more aware of who we put where. Not based on gender but based on other psychological criteria. Some kind of tests maybe...I dont know. I'm just saying as a man in a woman prison, its easy to stay out of trouble. We've had more women compromised here then men (I'm not profiling).

Shorti, remember how many nurses, officers, etc females were allowed to just resign with no charges filed for doing this very thing when you were at El Reno. We finally had a medical records tech do time, not for the sex but for the drugs she brought in. Start hammering some of these people, both male and female, and maybe these idiots will stop and think before they get compromised by these worthless sh**s.

This is just another example of how these crims behind bars find a way to manipulate those of us who are on the other side of the bars.

Why any of us would let our guard down like that is behind me. Its not like we get paid poory for the job we do.
