Former Monroe County Wisconsin Deputy Sheriff David Schaldach Pleads Guilty After Sex With Mentally Ill Inmate While He Was A Jail Supervisor - Sentenced to 18 Months In Prison

MADISON, WISCONSIN - A former Monroe County sheriff’s lieutenant who admitted having sexual contact with a mentally ill female inmate has pleaded guilty to misconduct in office and faces 18 months in prison.

David Schaldach was a jail supervisor when he allegedly had sexual conduct with the female prisoner at least twice in 2002. The criminal complaint says the inmate suffered from a variety of mental health conditions.

The state Justice Department said taht the 61-year-old Schaldach was ordered Thursday to spend 18 months in prison followed by a year on extended supervision.

Schaldach retired in 2002.

His attorney John Matousek didn’t immediately return a message from the Associated Press seeking comment.

to bang an inmate is bad enough, but to get one that is mentally ill, this guy needs a lot more than 18 months. I hope he has some hard time, and becomes someone girlfriend. then he could really learn what prison sex is all about.
