Just joined the group. Been serving with extraordinary officers/staff at my institution for almost 17 years. Very tough at times, but always rewarding. When ever humans are involved potential for good or for conflict exist. I seen tragedy, suicides, I seen triumph, marriages and children growing in their BOP parents steps. Do not back away from conflict, some improvement can be found at the end. As my mentor told me once, we are a family, and us in the front line are responsible to maintain that feeling with our actions toward our "brothers" and "sisters". I'm glad to discover this Forum is available. Let's keep the faith.

Hmm...If you're feeling really ebil, you could shoot the SIS/SIA a memo and report that particular Deparment Head. They might be interested to know how they know any information about an official investigation, and why it's their business. Oh...Go NOLES!!!

People should mind what they say. I had a GS 12 department head walk up to me two days ago and told me he heard that I was under investigation at my institution. First let me say I am but it has nothing to do with Inmates. Now back to the story in the six years that I have been with the BOP I have never talked to this person unless I had to, now he comes up to me and ask me this to make it bad it was in front of a Inmate. When I didn't respond to him and walked off he just made a joke of it. Later that day after I had cooled off I went to him and told him that it was none of his business what was going on with me, and he didn't need to talk about this in front of inmates for sure. Then he called the Inmate by his first name and said that he (the inmate) would not say any thing he (the inmate) was OK I should not get so upset he was just would like to know true. I told him that he must have hit his head if he thinks that inmate will not tell other inmates on the compound. I had to leave again to cool off once more before I said or done something I didn't need to. What is up with people these days do they think that inmates are their friends or what? I worked at the state prison for almost eight years and Officers just didn't talk personal stuff in front of inmates.

The photo was taken by a guy called Mark Bezy before 1991, he display all the stuff in the photo and took the photo. For yers he try to have the BOP to use as the Official BOP photo but it never took and well if you look at a Large Copy of the photo you will know few items were not ever use or issued the BOP. The guy Came to Lex as a Captain around 1990 and well He did not like me one bit and I did not like him as he was never a good men or a good Captain. We use to leave at the revervetion and his wife was also a very poor Chritian who wanted every Lt.'s wife to obey her and kiss her ass. My wife will not have anything to do with that and the Captain will call me in and tell me I had to tell my wife to pay attention to his. Well I guess I never did and he did not like the situation but any way that is a diferent story. And yes he tryed to get me out of the BOP but he failed and I got to go out of Lex on a promotion. The guy is not a nice guy and that is all I can tell you. I do like the photo and I know he had a good intentions when he took the photo. It is a very nice photo.
