Hostage rescue teams
Does your institution have its own hostage rescue team? Or, do you call other outside agencies to deal with that? In Pennsylvania and at the state corrections level, the dept has its own. They are not CERT; They are a seperate entity. I just saw a pic of PA's DOC HRT and they look pretty high-speed, which surprises me. I know PA DOC has had one for quite some time.

Most BOP's have DCT and SORT teams......

Ours isn't a HRT purely, but that is it's main roll. Our SERT (Special Emergency Response Team) are all SWAT qualified and specialize in lethal force.
