Inmate Slang

Post the slang with definitions that is used by inmates at your facility here.

Junebug: an inmate that has been forced by another inmate to buy him
items from the canteen.

OOhWap (aka. state cake or wap): a cake that is made with honeybuns, cookies and candy that is then shaped into a cake.

Swoll: a disgusting mix of ramen noodle soup, spicy cheetos, jalapeno cheese and mayonaise that is then mixed together and put into a tortilla and rolled up.

Dope (aka dope stick): a cigarette

Brick: a pack of cigarettes

A Crispy: a brand new jumpsuit

Getting greens (aka green up): promotion from medium custody to minium custody (the male inmates in NCDOC wear green clothes to signify a minimum custody inmate, brown for medium and close (max), red for death rown, and yellow for safekeepers.

Brown Down: demotion from minimum to medium.

Check Off: request for protective custody.

Check Off Move: intentionally comitting an infraction in front of an officer in order to be taken to segregation.

Punk: homosexual

Man Down: a warning yelled by an inmate notifying an inmate or group of inmates that are doing something wrong that an officer has just entered the pod.

Dog On The Block - yelled by inmate when CO enters the unit / area

Slick Lay - Spitting in a punks pooter before the other punk screws him

General - A correctional officer who yells a lot but doesn't really enforce any rules.

Never heard that one before, but now that I have, I need to vomit.....I'm glad that doesn't go on here in Pollock - yea right huh : )

hook up - raman noodles, beef jerky, canned fish, and whhat ever else you wanna throw in there.

suuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeee!!!! - what the bloods yell when another needs help.

joint - homemade knife.

going hard - when an inmate goes all the way and makes the COs come in the cell and get him during a cell extraction.

roll rite - handrolled prison cigarette.

tree jumper - rapist.

jump - homemade wine.

bone crusher - BIG nasty sharp homemade knife.

"Whoop-whoop": Officer making rounds (I'll take day room time for this)
Rock man: Inmate worker (i.e. "trustee")
Short: close to completing sentence and going home
Street: anything outside of jail

oh and....

"This is bulls**t!": Response to just about anything a C.O. tells them.

Bugaron- someone who has convinced himself that he is not gay because he lets a punk suck his di<k, but he don't return the favor
Chota- spanish slang for snitch
Aquas- spanish for CO is coming
pfftt- (noise of air coming out of a tire) inmate way of saying fock off
go ahead on- fock off
kite- drop note

Scrape - Mex slang for worst of the worst pronounced "es-crah-peh"

Hoo-ra - The Po-lice pronounced "who-rah"

Bonaroo - Old inmate slang, something an inmate has fashioned, constructed or altered.

Rayaso - pronounced rah-yah-so - a write up.

Paisa - pronounced pie-sah - A mexincan national.

Filete - pronounced fee-leh-teh - a shank

Chota -pronounced "show-tah" the po-lice.

Once - pronounced ohn-se -old spanish slang meaning eleven for Leavenworth.
