Question Non Uniformed Staff Clothing

OK,
we have a lot of staff here that wear stuff that they probably shouldnt in a prison setting.
So, in their defense, I would like to ask the forum, is it ok for staff to wear HIGHHEEL shoes in this setting? what about low cut shirts that show off the goods? or tight skirts and pants. Makes you wonder why some people would get so dressed up to go to jail?
I figure this is going to get heated so please feel free to unload

We had a gal who wore a banana yellow colored, leather mini skirt with high heels and actually came out on the compound (which she didn't do that often) to go to the chow hall, this skirt was short with a low cut, tight fitting shirt to boot, she didn't get that far and all the cat calls started from across the compound, we had a Lt. get so pissed at the ruckus that he made her leave the compound area.....this was the first time that she pulled that either...I think all staff should wear a uniform! We are all Correctional Officers first...right???

I think the different prison scoring system among employees may have something to do with it. EX: You see someone at the bar and you and your buddies say shes an 8 out of 10. The Broad you wouldnt stick with 10 beers and 3 months of blue balls is a 1 or 2.

That same 1 or 2 is a BOP 6 or 7.

So on the outside of the joint you never get noticed. Come inside the fence and all of a sudden you get attention. Once the self esteem has gone up the flirty type clothes come out.

I personally think if I was a female I would be attempting to look like the least attractive individual possible. Look professional of course but save the makeup for your home life.

AMEN to that, all staff should wear uniforms, different for each department, but uniforms.

I heard a rumor that our warden here told the women to dress more women like, the secretary's anyways, ask 46&2 all about it, I think she might have some insight into it...

Not only no, but he** no!
Iowa dress code policy covers both uniformed and non uniformed staff including front office workers.. Not going to happen!

I beleive, with out looking it up, usess conservetive business attire language with skirts below the knee when sitting...............and other suitable language for the rest of the attire.

Oh, that is in our policy too, but they are spending too much time worrying if I am wearing my Dickies that match the uniform we wear to notice the fact that staff are dressing like hoochies... Hasnt happened here in a while so dont take offense all you devens workers, but you all know that we have had staff that just dont dress right, personally, I feel high heels shouldnt be allowed inside the fence, nor should a skirt or dress, how you going to get into your 30 % gear in a dress and high heels? going to look awfully sexy wearing the jumpsuit and heels...
