A quick note on the dickies pants.......take a razor and just cut off the emblem. If your careful it will come right off and you'll never know who's brand it is.......oh, except for the white on the inside of the pockets.

And then if they ask about the pockets ask them why are you looking in my pockets? And then ask them for a union rep!

And if that don't work, ask them if they have lost a little weight and tell then their pants look loose on them!

we all did the razor thing with the dickies, the warden is pissed that we are all wearing them. oh well, write me up for it, and I will go back to my gray and whites until Galls or Unitec comes out with a pair of pants that doesnt fall apart in the washing machine.I still have 7 months to wait for that to happen

Here at the ERE El Reno..haven't seen anything untastefull yet....but at the state was a different story. Had a case worker come in to work(her late night) wearing a leopard print skirt with top that was sheer and low cut. Later to be discovered she was having relations with an inmate within her office. Don't figure, huh...says alot by the way you dress in a setting as this. Heels..please what the ****? Inmate would probably take them from you and stab you with it. What are really gonna do to help someone?

Re: Non Uniformed Staff Clothing

i got a question on that.how would u go about fixing this problem?
i find myself having to walk behind certain staff to there destination just cause of there pants(certain women)from unit management wear pants that shows there butt off i guess.(who they want to notice im not sure)but i have to stave off the inmates everytime.(yes they call me the hater)
but the fellow worker is in the union and i guess u say no one can stand her.she does think she walks on water.
i could tell her, but shes a eeo filer?
any advice could help,

Re: Non Uniformed Staff Clothing

Ya know, sometimes you can't. they have to learn for themselves. Best advice that I can give, coming from a female, I would make her see the reality of her surroundings. Explain some of the events that have happened around instutions. things that do happen to females from inmates behind closed doors, alot having to do with what they wear. Ask her, if she realizes that there are rapist and stalkers all around her. Make her see, if you know what I mean. I had to do that with a nurse before. I made her see how the inmates were looking at her. Made her see it with her own eyes. It changes her thinking!

Re: Non Uniformed Staff Clothing

contact your supervisor about the situation, its not your job to correct another staff member in their behavior. Easiest way to avoid the EEO. Just go to a supervisor, who in turn can get a female supervisor to bring the matter to the staff members attention. if that doesnt work, make sure your boots are tied so you can run fast when she is calling for help.
