LOL...thanks. I guess I'm supposed to wear a burlap bag. People seem to assume just because you try to make your self look halfa$$ presentable, doesn't mean I dressing somewhat nice to impress other people/staff/inmates. I don't see anything wrong with what I wear. Why would I go out and buy $60-$80 dress pants that my key's and radio (or anything else i could get on them) would ruin? I have a bf of 8 years and I sure as hell would not risk my relationship for ANY single person here. I know you all hate non custody and all, but please stop grouping all of us together!!!! Thanks.

Oh, and what about the officers or male staff that come in loaded with colon and their hair all gelled up and crap? They must want to f*ck their way up the latter or want an inmate too!!!! Yes I know that it is more often dumb females going after males, but come on!

Edit:
Oh, and don't get me wrong, I know there are plenty of them morons out there that do dress that way with not so great intentions. So it's not like I'm saying it's not true. I look at them and just wonder why.

It's long been the policy in the BOP for staff to **** up, then move up. I.E., **** up as in **** a supervisor or manager, then move up to become a supervisor/manager.

Then there are those who have been propagandized in high school or college to believe that "up" is located in the gutter, so after those ol' "romantic outlaws" they chase.
Yeah, all too often. Remember that one guy who was camp admin, who really messed up. Reaching for the wrong woman IIRC.

46&2 I am so glad I asked for your input, I know you have been waiting to unload for some time now. Come on. let it all out. As for your makeup, I still wish you would go all goth and come in some day to see how the warden likes you then. Tell her she wanted to see you made up, well, this is how you roll... lol

Come on. You know that our boss wants the secretaries to wear skirts and heals. Especially in the housing units where there they could be out matched 264 to 1 at any given time. And for those who wear inappropriate clothing to include the color, I've said something about it and no one in our chain of command wants to touch it because of the fear of a lawsuit.

My wife works in the BOP and here at EST we have a problem with gunners. And inmates checking out the females butts. My wife is a Officer also so I went to the cop shop and had her a vest made that would cover the affected areas. It was a black tactical vest with the BOP emblem on it. After the warden seen it he bought one for all uniformed staff.

Anyone inside of a prison environment should be wearing a uniform. And since I'm on a uniform tangent, a prison should be run like a military installation with real accountability. And the warden/superintendent/facility head should also have to wear a friggin uniform (that includes his associate & deputy wardens) like the rest of the custody staff (just give him some bird Colonel wings on his collar and thats that).

What about the male staff who wear tight pants and you always can tell if it is hanging to the left or right? Or I was told of a male staff who had a pump you know where and always looked like he was ready for business. Or a male staff who looks like he is always wearing a cup? Or a male staff who gets dressed to work out after work in his shorty shorts? This, I heard, caused a female inmmate at the Camp to proclaim that "He is trying to show of his little package." Male staff like to show of there stuff, too. It is just a little harder to do. And here we have male staff who keep everything covered appropriately and they still get caught sleeping with the female inmates. Last one was our priest!

Re: Non Uniformed Staff Clothing

I couldn't pull off what 46&2 wears. I don't know if you all noticed (being that most of you are men and probably didn't - no insult, just you can't help it lol) but the pants are fairly low cut.

I am a good sized girl. Those pants and that shirt would then leave my tummy hanging out for all to see. Or at least when I breathed. EWWWWWW

I either shop in granny jeans section (my daughter is disgusted by them) or make my own skirts/pants. That way I can have my tummy covered. As for shirts, I have made several and modified them in length to again cover my tummy.

I have seriously considered making and wearing Indian clothing (like the country not loincloth type). The tops are long and flowing usually midthigh or to the knees and the pants are baggy. Very comfortable looking and VERY modest.

The skirts/culottes mixtures I wear because I feel like my ass is not showing for all to see. My skirts are not flattering really.

I don't remember if I posted this on here, but I meant to. Way back a long time ago in a land far away, I used to be thin and cute and wear VERY flattering stuff. Luckily I had a friend/mentor who said to me "Little girl you can't be wearing stuff like that in a prison." She called me little girl when I was doing something stupid!

I feel it is now my responsibility to let staff know that what they are wearing is somewhat inappropriate. Since we don't have a specific policy I can't tell someone that they can't wear something, but I can explain that I feel it is inappropriate. Up to them to make the changes. Or not. I just don't call them little girl.
