Cell/House searches

I think it'd be a cool idea to shed light on common and not so common hiding spots for contraband. Tips are always great, so if you have tips on finding contraband in unique locations, list em here.

Found tobacco hidden in a folgers coffee lid. The inmate pulled off the cardboard, wrapped up some tobacco, flattened it like a pancake, and replaced the paper circle back into the lid over top the tobacco.

Found used stamps on a stick of deodorant but that was pretty obvious. The chemicals would rub off the post office markings so he could re-use them.

In our lockdown they are allowed up to 4 boxes. After searching through the boxes and property themselves, I always undo the boxes all the way to see if they're hiding anything where the boxes fold.

Other obvious spots include in food containers, in personal hygiene containers etc. Always check that crap just to be sure.

So, where are some other places you guys and gals find stuff?

I've found things in boxes of sanitary pads, like medications. The inmates reseal the boxes with toothpaste. I squeeze to see if the factory seal is secure, and I always shake 'em.

Ive heard of inmates attaching a string to contrband and flushing down the toilet. Then they can recover it by holding down the flush button on the toilet and reeling in the string from the end they held.

At my place we have also found tattoo rigs inside the adgitators.

We just found 2 shanks in the Library one was in a white box at the bottom of a filing cabinet, as of yet I do not know where the other one was found and a folder stuffed with pornography Tucked into the same filing cabinet. We've found them in the ground the gym basketball skirts, matresses, in the cracks of the walls in segregation and then resealed with toothpaste and colored to match the wall.

Re: Cell/House searches

Yeah, one inmate told me and a bunch of officers and the LT (while he was in medical) that we wouldn't be able to find tobacco in his cell.....because it was stuffed up his arse...

needless to say, we didn't go in.
