what do i need to do

hey guys i am new here I am going through the hiring process and was wondering what kind of shape i should get in before the academy how far should i run ,pushups,sit ups etc... i am in fair shape but not great what should i be doing to make it easier

Not that big of a deal. Just be in half decent shape, You wont be booted for poor physical fitness believe me. What process are you at now?

i am in the BI part just waiting on results and hopefully soon unemployment sucks

There is a class starting January 6th, and they graduate in March. It usually takes anywhere between 4-6 months for the BI. Just be patient, it is all a waiting process.

hope fully soon i am laid off right now and have a baby due on feb 9 so i would rather get started soon i hust had my BI started so i guess i will prob be in the class in march if i get hired or do they do just one class at a time any tips for the interviews are appreciated i have read all the forums My wife says i am obsessed with this job i am on this web site all the time and getting in shape for the academy i hope they hire me i want this job very bad i am tired of working construcrion and getting laid off all the time

If you just started it may be longer than March. I started my BI on Jan 20 and didn't go in until September 24th. Its sucks, but you gotta be patient. There are alot of people coming into this profession, due to the economy. They have alot of BI's to do. Just be sure not to lie on the BI, "ON ANYTHING!!" They will find out, believe me.
