Statistics on Officer Assaults
Does anyone have any statistics on yearly assaults on Correctional Officers, Parole, and Probation Officers?

I am familiar with FBI UCR data

CEO of a technology company offering situational awareness capability. Researching & developing a white paper to justify the deployment of Automated Personnel Tracking (APL) for Department of Corrections deployment. The technology is based on "blue force" tracking for DoD. This commercial application would promote Parole and Probation officer safety while moving in difficult environments while interacting with clients.

Ahh BFT... I dunno about that... seems to go on the fritz alot here in Iraq.

I would want the kinks worked out of the systems we are using in country first before they try and take it on an individual basis.

Make it user friendly... Teach the soldier how to troubleshoot and fix it when it goes down... I hate having our BFT go down and waiting 2 weeks for the guy to get here and fix it..

It's a good thing to have when its working like it should.. but being Medevac.. we track our birds and flight follow them when they go out.. Sucks when it goes down.

I'm willing to be taught.

Teach a soldier? are you mad? that will cut into my sweet contractor salary!!!

Actually its not up to us who to teach, that's up to the Army/Nat'l Guard/Marines. As for 'user friendly', we're working on it. But that version won't be out for years.
