MCSO canidate

I recently applied for MCSO Corrections. I have less than desirable credit, due to certain circumstances. I otherwise have a perfect background and worked for Tempe PD a few years ago. What is the hiring unit looking for when they check your credit? I've heard bankruptcy, repos, owing money to IRS etc., none of which I have. Any info would be apprecited. Thanks.

MCSO is pretty easy on people these days. They need people bad.

When I applied for ADOC I simply asked the recruiter about my credit history and such. He used to be a BI so I was able to get a good answer. I know the county can be hard to get a hold of since they started just having everyone show up for an orientation and fill out apps there. It's kind of a cattle call when you go to those, just to warn you.

What did the recruiter say with regards to your credit? Positive or negative. Thanks

I honestly wouldnt worry too much about your credit... People make mistakes, and the DO process is not as tough as the Sworn process. We need people (we're on a freeze now though), but that doesnt mean that ANYone gets in.... but if credit is your only concern... stick with it.
