AZDOCVISITOR, if your husband was such a perfect person as you claim he is, then he would not be sitting in a prison right now. He would be at home and providing for his family. He KNEW he was not allowed to have a gun as a FELON and yes he is a FELON.

As far as that little video you posted, I agree we NEED three strike laws. As far as programs to help FELONS stay out of prison after they get out, the prison provides them but inmates don't care. Why stay out of prison when you can go to prison and get free food, a free bed, and a free college education, and free TV.

Also as far as us beating inmates, we don't do that. Unless the situation calls for it. Now if the inmate is causing problems and is assaulting staff I can tell you one thing, we are going to be coming to help our fellow officer out.

By the by, some inmate told me if they had women inmates as bunk mates, there would be mass murders just to get into prison to get with them. Sounds peachy.

Another thing, you know we aren't legislators, we don't MAKE the laws. We are here to ENFORCE them. There is a difference. The state in which she lives in, has determined those laws to be just, so why complain to those who have to enforce? Is it because we are more "accessible" than politicians who are riding their wave of success to their highest position, whatever that may be?

Finally, we don't arrest citizens, we just make sure they do their time as peacefully as possible.
