New Uniforms

Thanks for the Info on the uniforms CROSSTIMBERS OKIE. It took this to find out about it. Most of the guys at my facility dont even know what we will be wearing as far as Unit Officers. Some will wait and see who will wear what. Depending on the department they work in. I like the white shirt and blue pants look.

From what I understand, unit officers and all facilities/FS posts will wear the B blue uniform. The VR, front lobby, reception, and probably Lieutenants will be stuck with the white shirts and navy tie/slacks.

Either way, I'm glad they're doing-away with that damned-awful maroon tie...

I am so glad to get rid of the daily white shirt. I will be happy to wear that polo shirt. As long as my pay doesnt change, I will wear it. LOL
It will be much more comfortable while running to our daily B.A.'s here.

Hello All...new guy here...in Texas..can you advise me how many(what type) of clothes to bring to the Academy (starts this Thurs., June 26 Gatesville, Tx)...what day do they issue uniforms?...do I need bed stuff?..( sheets,blanket,pillow case?)...how are we expected to dress until issued uniforms?...(you don't know 'til you ask.....)...they should already have SScard and all that info from "1st interview/test", but do I need them there as well?...will we be issued firearms and leather gear that we will keep?..Lots of questions, but I always figure that you go to the "pros", so here it is....Thanks for your time and patience.
