first of all the reports or rumors your hearing aren't just checks they hand out. The union will win a portal to portal settlement and the money is given to the affected employees on how long they have in the bureau. you must be new to the bureau? If you are welcome!!!

i am new, when i went to glynco a co from terre haute said they had portal to portal. the checks that i ment were ones that were awarded through settlements that the union was able to win.

what about trying to get the union to get more than 10% for night differential. in the first 2 months that i was in i saw a story that said working nightshift is now a carcinogen. that means it causes cancer for those of you in wv.

The union filed the portal-to-portal here. However, we have never heard anything about it and when we email the president of the union he will not respond to us.

no, what i meant was, try to have the union get more for night diff. i dont know if the union ever tried to get more or not. but i mean, it causes cancer, and i think i (BOP COs) should be compensated.
