Master Agreement

Hey I heard the master agreement has been signed off by both the union and the agency? I also heard there is a new MOU on staff search procedures?
Anyone with info?

They need to put gun lockers for personal carry in the dam Master Agreement.

They will not do that until they are forced.

Even after they are forced, they will not do it.

They will put in a 24 hour gym, a whirlpool, and a sauna for the Wackenput guards visiting our facilities before we get gun lockers for our staff!

Re: Master Agreement

Gun Lockers, is that the same as a safe box that fits under your front seat?

That's fine until someone says they saw you with one in the parking lot giving the Warden Probable Cause to search your vehicle. Or, when the new PS on Searching, Detaining, & Arresting Non-Inmates goes into effect. It has a provision requiring the Warden to randomly search staff vehicles on a weekly basis.

They need probable "Suspicion" which means something tangible. So if that happens ask to see the memo or report. They can not do it just to harass you. Also, I think there was a case out of Lompoc, maybe, where the staff member was thought to have a weapon in his vehicle, tehy ask to search it, he said no problem, got into his vehicle and left the property, he returned some time later and allowed the search. He was fired, then one of the 4 letter orgainizations gave him his job back. I wish I could remember the actual case name but I am drawing a blank, it is a very interesting read.
