Re: Weak local.
kinda courious as to who movementarian asked his questions to? i haven't recieved any e-mails. and the only people that show up to the meetings is the e-board. you want to know what goes on with the union, show up to a meeting ask your questions. as far as your i.f class goes we have no clue when its scheduled. also you need to remember that you now have a new president and vice president and we're tryin to turn things around. so my point is this come to the meetings and keep asking your questions but make sure you ask the right person i'm sure that you can figure out who i am

Someone needs to get with management and open a master agreement. The union should have a scheduled block of time to attend EVERY IF class and the union E-Board should be notified of this schedule. How could the E-Board not know about this class? You know how many times I have heard "show up to the meetings?" Why do we respond to questions from the bargaining unit with a lame answer like that. All questions should be answered and if your local has a web site it needs to be updated so officers can refer questions to the site. When a person points out a mistake then fix it and thank him/her for caring enough to say something in the first place. GOOD LUCK with your new elected positions!!

I do know who you are and I am sure that you know who I am by now. Many of my questions have been answered at this point and I am still looking for membership. I will get the form to you soon.

Re: Weak local.
I guess not. I am already convinced of the benefits of union membership at this point. I am also convinced about the need to get involved. You guys recently came to my aid and I am new. I may also not be working there much longer. That should clue you in as to who I am.

Re: Weak local.
This is unacceptable. You can't tell me you're unaware of new people being hired, so when they get hired, ask when IF classes will be held, and tell them (don't ask) you'll be showing up for your block of time.
Tell the new hires about the union and their rights, then take them to lunch.

Re: Weak local.
like i already said we have a new e-board, vice president and president. as it stands now we have already made changes to the good and plan on doing more. the problem here was the main people involved where in it for themselves and sold out everybody else and we need to change that mentality that the staff have.
